Heritage-style beachfront jungle escape
Quietly refined & intentionally wild
This retreat venue is an inviting space where you can step away from the noise and reconnect with a slower, more natural rhythm. Set on a secluded stretch of turtle-nesting beach, the retreat is also conveniently close to the renowned Ramsar-listed Madu River estuary and its enchanting cluster of islands.
The venue features two swimming pools, including a unique natural freshwater pool that harmonizes with its surroundings. Lush forest gardens are thoughtfully curated while retaining a deliberately untamed feel, enhancing the sense of immersion in nature. Built upon a natural stone quarry, the property carries a timeless character and a strong connection to the land.
The venue’s main dining and living terrace flows effortlessly into the surrounding gardens, where vaulted ceilings and a refreshing sea breeze create a relaxed, open atmosphere. Dining is inspired by the Ayurvedic philosophy of the “six tastes,” creating meals that aim to bring the body into balance.
Honoring the heritage of this coastline as a traditional fishing hamlet, the cottages are intentionally simple and sustainably built to exist in harmony with nature. Two of the two bedroom cottages leads to private plunge pools. All rooms are spread out across the property, offering greater privacy and a quieter atmosphere.

“ Buildings and houses tucked in among lush tropical greenery with plenty of birds, some monkeys, mongooses and other wildlife gives an authentic feeling of living in nature. The rooms are spacious and clean - with the exception of the occasional ant or bug finding its way in from the surrounding greenery.”
